Crawling is a big milestone in your baby's development.
Most babies start trying to crawl between 6 and 10 months of age.
Before crawling, your baby may:
* Get onto their hands and knees.
* Rock back and forth.
* Move backwards before learning to move forwards.
To help your baby crawl:
* Give them frequent opportunities for tummy time.
* Let them play on a soft, clean floor.
* Place toys just out of reach and encourage them to try to reach them.
What to avoid:
* Baby walkers.
* Long periods in seats or carriers.
* Pressuring your baby to learn quickly.
